2024 Campaign: It starts with education, it ends with respect.

On August 1st, 2024, the ANUSA Women’s Department led a protest against ANU’s continued failure to address sexual assault and harassment (SASH) on campus. Students marched from Kambri to the Chancellery, demanding stronger consent education and greater accountability.

Marking seven years since the Change the Course report, the protest highlighted ANU’s poor track record—still ranking second nationally for SASH. This year’s theme, “It Starts With Education. It Ends With Respect,” called for better, more accessible education programs, with many criticising the RRR module as inadequate.

The protest also responded to ANU’s failure to act on six student recommendations from the 2022 Follow Through report, urging a more intersectional, survivor-focused approach.
